Here's a few more of the thousands of comics I have. Obviously can't scan them all, but if you are looking for anything in particular I'll be happy to see if I have duplicates of what you need. :)

Motorific cars were great because you could buy complete cars, replacement motors, and even replacement bodies. The cars ran by double AA batteries, and the bodies were really detailed. Here are some of the cars...many still in the original cases. The bodies and cars in cases are mint, but the light scratches from the last fifty years on the crystal cases make them look “dirty”. There were also smaller versions, Mini Motorific, that used triple AAA batteries. There were also a series of boats that actually ran in water.

I’ve got a thing for slot cars. Although I specialize in h/o scale electrics, I have many others as well. Motorific battery operated sets were fun when I was young, and I’ve managed to come across some decent sets over the years. Here’s a few of them.

V-RROOM was an interesting tether car from the early sixties. They weren’t motorized, but the had a motor sound as the wheels turned. About the same size as a gas powered car. This one is missing the front bumper or nosepiece, which is identical to the rear one, but otherwise is the closest to mint condition that I’ve ever come across.

How many of you remember “Stick Shifters” from the seventies? The cars had a gyro wheel similar to Kenner SSP cars, but as you shifter the battery operated motor spun the gyro faster and faster until you went through all of the gears. Once finished shifting the car would release, usually resulting in a wheelie and a twenty foot or so run...and usually crashing into kitchen cabinets or living room woodwork. ;)

Here’s some fun stuff! Although they look the same, one of these early sixties gas powered Indy racers were produced by different companies. Neither of these appear to have ever been fueled up and ran.

I’ll be posting tons of neat things in the future, but for the moment just some random shots of things around our home. As you can see, movie posters and comic art are big on my list. :) Old model kits as well. The Go-Mad Nomad box art and model design was the work of my friend, the late, great Dave Deal. I’ll been fortunate to have met a lot of great comic artists over the years I spent in the field, and I’m sure I’ll occasionally bore you with stories as pieces are posted. ;)
