Candle Info 101 🧠⤵️

Let’s talk about “Clean Candles” !

I use 100% Soy Wax which is biodegradable & a fully renewable resource making my candles the most environmentally friendly option! Soy Wax offers a “clean burn” with minimal soot (black stuff) & more burn for your buck, as soy melts more slowly & coolly than paraffin. Paraffin also has additives or chemicals added to the wax to make the candles look, smell, & burn better - to where soy wax has no harmful hidden additives as soy oil is naturally derived from Soybean flakes & the left over flakes are then used for animal feed 🐄

For fragrance I use CandleScience Clean Scents™ that are free from carcinogens, reproductive toxins, & other potentially hazardous chemicals often found in other fragrances to give you the best smelling & safest candles for your home that I can 🤍✨

Let’s talk about Wet Spots in Candles!

This picture is a great example of a “Wet Spot” this tends to happen when the wax pulls away from the glass vessel’s edge. The wet spots can be caused by the change of temperature or environmental factors that can cause the wax to cool down too quickly & not adhere to the glass vessel. This is very common when using Soy Wax.

When this happens the wax pulls away from the vessel creating air bubbles. It can also develop over time & tends to happen to all candles! (Even Yankee) & Even though it isn’t aesthetically pleasing it does not affect in any way the scent or performance of the candle & is still handmade with a truck load of love & energy 🤍✨
