Howdy folks, I wanted to make a post to let y’all know that I’ll be heading back to Alaska soon to work with Operation Heal Our Patriots for the summer. I’m grateful for this opportunity to serve the Lord and our military veterans. I have several of my items in stock and ready to ship on my website, and I would very much appreciate it if you would continue to support my business while I’m in Alaska! All inventory items will be shipping normally until they sell out. Thank you for your business!

A couple of years ago, I did a fairly extensive research project on my family’s history. I found that several of my family members who were alive at the time of the American Revolution fought in their state militias and in the Continental army. The majority of them fought in the Virginia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania state militias. I was inspired to make a shooting bag and belt axe that would look like something they might have carried in the War for Independence and while hunting on the Appalachian frontier. This bag and axe are loose copies of originals found on the Virginia frontier that date to the time period I was looking to emulate. It’s pretty neat to have something tangible that serves as a reminder of the men who fought to build our republic 250 years ago.

Custom order finished for an inside the waistband revolver holster. I really enjoy building holsters. It can be challenging to get the pattern just right, but when you do, it creates a holster with a very good fit. This holster was shaped while the leather was wet to create a very tight fit with good retention.

These three photos represent several years of change in my blacksmith shop. I have made a lot of memories in this building, and I’m very thankful for the ability to have a shop to work in. I’m posting these photos to commemorate the progress I’ve made in this shop, and to announce that I will soon be packing my tools and moving my shop to Virginia. Our family has decided to relocate to the Shenandoah valley region of Virginia for a variety of factors, including being closer to family. I’m very grateful for all my time in Texas, and for all the people I have met living here. The Lord has blessed me with some amazing opportunities over the years. It is fun to look back on the memories I have made in Texas and in my shop, and I look forward to making more memories in Virginia. Even though I am moving, my website will remain open for business!

Here’s a custom wallet I finished up recently for a young man in Missouri. I really like the way it turned out. Being someone who enjoys spending time in the outdoors, I enjoy making a simple, everyday item, like a wallet, with a design element that serves as a reminder of outdoor adventures. My hope is that every time this wallet is used, it serves as a reminder of good times spent with friends and family enjoying the beauty of God’s creation. Hopefully, when you pull a wallet like this out of your pocket in your day to day life, you are transported, if even for a moment, to wild clear rivers in beautiful country.

Here’s a neat gun rig I made a while back for a friend of mine to use on his trap line in Michigan. This setup is for a 6.5 inch barreled single-six, a legendary .22 pistol. The cartridge slide holds enough .22 shells to reload the sixgun, and is lightweight and convenient to carry. Rather than a separate gun belt, this setup is designed to be carried with your pants belt, making the rig ride high and tight for easy maneuvering through the woods.

A few months ago, I made a pancake sheath designed to fit an multi tool. This style of sheath has made me want to carry a multitool much more often, because it keeps the tool tight against your side. There have been may times I didn’t carry a multitool because of its weight and size, but this style sheath fixes a lot of those problems. I now have them for sale on my website in this new, classy color option. Thanks for looking!

I recently received a custom order from a good friend who asked me to make him a wedding ring. I’d never made one before but I learned a lot on this project! Wrought iron is fun to work with but presents some unique challenges due to the grain of the material. I don’t get a chance to work with it much but enjoyed using it on this project.

I always enjoy it when I get the chance to try something new. This is a leather playing card a friend of mine ordered to go in his firefighting helmet. It was a fun project and involved some techniques I don’t normally get to use.
