A Love Letter to Our Customers, Friends, and Customers Who Became Friends--
The past 21 1/2 years at my little purple quilt shop have truly been a blessing. In addition to offering quilting ideas and stocking gorgeous fabric, I have been able to hear so many of your life events. From the joy of births and weddings and grandchildren's successes to the sadness of illnesses and losses, we have laughed and cried together. I've watched your toddlers grow into teens and college students.
And the dog stories! Over the years, three Goldens have greeted you when you entered the store, either with a bark, a raised eyebrow, or a request for scratches. Unsurprisingly, you complied with their wishes and supplied pets, doggies treats, even dog toys. You told of your dog and cat shenanigans and offered their sweet photos. I have witnessed true puppy and kitty love. We have shared a lot.
However, it's time for me to retire. I am ready to see what life's next adventure has in store for me--be assured, I am leaving on a happy note! There are no hidden illnesses, no problems, and the shop has successfully rebounded from the Covid closure. It's just time for me to retire.
All of us have plans after the last yard of fabric has been cut. Ginnie will finally have time to enjoy her pool this summer; Deb is headed to Scotland and Ireland to explore the highlands and castles; and you will find me, Sam, and Finley camping, camping, camping! I'm ecstatic at the thought of being able to camp for days on end, rather than two quick overnights on the weekend.
So what does this mean for you? We have reduced many, many bolts of fabric already and as of now, everything in the shop is 25 per cent off. Yes, everything! We will share more information with you as we hammer out some details. The shop will be open for several weeks with a final closing date announced in the future.
Although you may be disappointed at this news, I hope you will share in my joy at Retiring!
