Our store is in Harvard Square, Cambridge. We pack tons of quality new and used music and movies into a well-organized, easy-to-browse space. We are perhaps the last store in the region to have a truly broad selection of CDs, with very substantial, deep jazz and classical departments — a rarity today. Fans of blues, bluegrass, folk, New Orleans music, country and other American traditions will alw

ays leave with something special. Rock, pop, soul and R+B fans will be similarly pleased of course. Other specializations (pop vocal, lounge, kids, electronica, experimental music, soundtracks, a diverse international section, etc) are also always kept well-stocked.

Our friends are hosting a weekly record spinning brunch! Bring your own records (even better, buy some records at Planet Records first 👀) and live out your DJ’ing dreams while eating, drinking, and having a great time at the family-owned McCarthy’s and Toad. Here’s the info:

WHEN: Every Sunday (starting June 1st), 12-4pm

WHERE: McCarthy’s and Toad (1920 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA 02149)
