Sixty years ago, "The Sweet Shop" came into existence. It consisted of gifts, candies, caramel corn and ice cream. Today, the same delicious treats are available but in greater variety. Our Goodies list the many homemade treats we make including over 100 kinds of candy. We continue to produce these luscious candies the old-fashioned way, "One piece at a time". Janeen Russell purchased the store in

2002 from her parents, Paul and Helen Beardsley, who had nurtured the store and served the community for 25 years. It is truly a tradition of the heart. Order a variety of our most popular treats online, or visit us at our store for more selection.

You have decided! Thank you to everyone who voted. Our most popular candy bar idea was The J.A.K. Bar!
This candy bar was invented by students at the Career Tech Center this last week in a workshop. We will have it available for purchase in 2 sizes starting Wednesday, June 17th, in the morning. It will be carried until July 17th, but could become a regular option depending on how popular it is with everyone.

Today we had some students from the come in and make their own candy bars as part of their class assignment. They got to craft the recipe, and make the candy bar themselves. Each bar has a fun name and some even have cool packaging designed by the students!
We are asking you, our followers and the Cadillac surrounding areas, to vote on your favorite candy bar!
The winning candy bar will be added to our shop and available for purchase for a month starting June 17th.

Here’s a quick story about how much influence we have in our world.
A customer came in and bought some Snow Birds to take with her on a trip. There were a couple other Michigan related items she purchased as well. We talked as I cashed her out at the register and I found out that these candies were going across the ocean to Italy where they will be given as gifts to schools she visits. I asked her to put pins in our map to represent the people she is gifting these candies to. She happily added a couple pins to our ever growing map.
It is so cool to see how we can impact people in their lives with something as simple as chocolate. It is one of the best feelings to know that a product I made is going to someone I don’t know across the world, or the street, to be enjoyed.
