Happy 12th Birthday ELYASON!!!!! 😎

It's hard to believe time has flown by like this 🥺 I always get extra emotional towards it all because we were up and running, his first week of life, baby wearin', husslin' and strugglin' 🤣

When we first started @ Searcy Closet Collections 12 years ago, I never thought it would turn into us opening our Cabot location and an extended family.
I'm thankful for all the love that has been shown to us and the friends my boys have made along the way.

I'm thankful for Kristin who took us in like family, loved us, and helped build these stores together.
These shops have truly loved & healed us through many different phases of our lives and we have loved y'all right back. 🫶
God has brought us the overcomers & the realest of people, I couldn't be more grateful for who they have been surrounded by.
To have made it this far with my kiddos by my side has been a tremendous blessing. ♥️♥️♥️🫂

She was so sweet & GORGEOUS items that all the ladies up here are falling in love with the pretty ooo pretty colors & sparkles 😍😍😍

I couldn't believe the great prices she has on them!! 👀We snagged a few to set up here with her asking price on them! All in the $3-$6 Range! 😲😲And they're already selling QUICK!!!

I've been really thinking about us hosting a barter event.

Thinking we could set up in the railyard, everyone sets up what they want to trade. It could be services, "I clean your house, you do my hair." It could be clothes, shoes, sports equipment, scrubs/work uniforms, baby gear, goodies from your garden, handcrafted items, baked goods, kids could set up toys, the random things you've been holding onto knowing SOMEONE NEEDS but haven't found that person yet.

Times seem to only be getting tougher but together we would be learning more resources, creating a fair trade community and keeping our money in our pockets. Imagine never having to spend money on the things that keep our families afloat, because we learned who was out there willing to trade skills.

Would anyone be down with setting up?

When my kids walk into a thrift store, I don’t want them to think,
“this is what you do if you can’t afford better.”

I want them to think,
this is where good things live.

Where things still have life left in them.
Where stories don’t end just because someone else was finished.
Where value isn’t measured by price tags or how new something looks.

Thrifting isn’t a last resort in our home.
It’s not embarrassing.
It’s not gross.
And it’s definitely not something to be looked down on.

It’s our first choice.

Because we already have more than enough in this world.
Because caring for what exists matters.
Because choosing intentionally teaches patience, gratitude, and creativity.
Because “new” doesn’t automatically mean better, and “used” doesn’t mean worn out.

So when we thrift, we’re not settling.
We’re choosing thoughtfully.🤘
We’re choosing stories over trends, character over perfection, and values over impulse.

And that lesson?
That one lasts far longer than anything brand new ever could ♥️
