Something I'd like to share is insight for all who consign or donate items, whether it be with us, another store, your church yard sale, the homeless shelters, Goodwill, etc...
You are doing an AMAZING thing by recycling & donating but please take your donation just a small mindful extra step further & ensure the cleanliness of those items so your donation isn't wasted. โค๏ธ
Most places don't have the manpower & aren't taking those items mixed with dirty undergarments ๐คฎ & washing them, they're sending that off on the next donation center for them to also reject or just straight up trash... ๐๐ ๐ญ We aren't talking a different level of what is considered "good condition" or "trendy", we are just speaking on throwing dirty clothes & trash in donations. โค๏ธ
Throwing trash in bags for consignment/donates doesn't equate a "well I did my part". I could tell story after story of horrific things that I've come across in bags of "good like new clean clothing", as well as taking items in for a back to school clothes drive to find people threw straight up trash in. ๐ซ ๐คฎ๐ Normalize providing your donations to those in need with clean & usable condition. โค๏ธ I know another man's trash is another's treasure, but, some things...whew....๐ฌ๐ฌ You know if something simply needs washed, take that small step!! ๐ซถ
