Happy Look Up At The Sky Day! ☁️🌞🐦⬛
Here’s a little fun fact post about this raven, who, for now, you won’t find flying overhead:
• This cutie is 3D printed layer by layer, building from the bottom up. Every detail you see is stacked in thin horizontal layers.
• When a layer needs multiple colors, the printer has to purge the previous color before switching. What remains is called “filament poop.” 😄 Check out the pile it made just to bring this little guy to life!
• Fun comparison: it took about 3 hours just to print the green stand and the tip of the tail because of all the color changes… while the rest of the body also took around 3 hours!
3D printing is equal parts art, patience, and a little bit of chaos but is totally worth it when the end results look like this. Keep an eye out for this cute raven at HDE, coming soon!
