Maryland Saddlery Consignor Contract:
ACCEPTABLE ITEMS:
Saddles, bridles, bits, harnesses, books, pictures, and any other equine related items and equipment will be considered for consignment. Riding clothing including lightly used jackets, ratcatchers, paddock boots, field boots, dress boots, breeches, jodhpurs, chaps, half chaps, safety vests, schooling wear, etc. All items must be in good an
d clean condition or they will not be accepted for consignment. Consignment items received by mail or other means that are deemed unacceptable by Maryland Saddlery have the option of being returned to the Consignor, at the expense of the Consignor. Unacceptable items not shipped back to the Consignor will be disposed of at the discretion of Maryland Saddlery. Maryland Saddlery shall determine the acceptability and has the right to refuse or return any item to the Consignor. Dry rotted strap goods, dangerous tack, used brushes, used horse blankets and helmets will not be accepted for consignment. Consignments will be accepted by chance or appointment.

3. A copy of the Consignment Drop-off From will be provided at each time new items are consigned.
4. Upon each consignment, Consignors are required to choose a payment method of either Maryland Saddlery Store Credit or Check. Not designating a payment method will result in the payment of Maryland Saddlery Store Credit.
5. All articles are consigned for a period of four months/120 days. Maryland Saddlery will determine pricing on all consigned items if not specified by consignor. With guidance by the Consignor, a selling price and a negotiable to, minimum selling price, for the saddle will be established at the time of consignment. Maryland Saddlery will negotiate the price for consigned saddles on behalf of the Consignor down to the specified minimum price. Maryland Saddlery Store Credit will be issued to a store account upon sale of consigned item. It is the responsibility of the Consignor to keep track of the Item Contract termination date. Unsold goods other than saddles must be picked-up prior to the Item Contract termination date. Saddles may be reconsigned after the termination date of the original Saddle Consignment Form. All unsold items that remain in the possession of Maryland Saddlery ten days after the termination of the Item Contract, will become the property of Maryland Saddlery and may be donated to a charity of our choosing, with no monetary benefit to the Consignor or to Maryland Saddlery. Merchandise removed before the end of the consignment period will incur a processing charge of $5.00 per item. CONTRACT RESPONSIBILITY:
Consigned goods will be allowed to go out on trial with perspective buyers, and saddles to be test ridden. Maryland Saddlery cannot be held responsible for items left on consignment, but does agree to use all conventional safeguards in the handling and displaying of consigned goods. Maryland Saddlery has the right to update and change the Consignment Contract without notice. PAYMENT:
Checks for sold items will be issued the month following the sale of the consigned item. Payment for sold item(s) will be by check or Maryland Saddlery Gift Card minus applicable fees. Payment by check, Maryland Saddlery will charge a 25% commission on saddles;
Payment by check, Maryland Saddlery will charge a 50% commission for all items other than saddles. Payment by Maryland Saddlery Store Credit (Gift Card), a 20% commission will be charged. Please Call 410-472-2300 or email for a copy of Forms [email protected]
