A HUGE thank you goes out to Butler Area School District seniors Madi McGarrah and Evie Paserba for giving back to their community through their business, 80s Ice! The girls gave a percentage of their summer sales to the KWBP and presented a check for $1,500 to the program! The girls co-founded ‘80s Ice in 2023 to meet their needs of wanting to hold a job that worked around their demanding academic and extracurricular schedules. Their custom built, shaved ice trailer can be found at events all around the Butler and Pittsburgh areas! It’s amazing to see students, like Evie and Madi, who want to give back to their community, especially to help other children in their school district! The KWBP is proud of you both, and hope you realize what a huge impact you have made on the future generations of children in Butler!!!🥰

Need a girls' day out? Sign up for the Muddy Princess event being held this weekend at SwitchbackMX in Butler, PA and join the fight against breast cancer. '80s Ice will be at the Muddy Kids event on Saturday (7/20) and the Muddy Princess event on Sunday (7/21). 100% of all Pink Lemonade and Pink Grapefruit shave ice sales over the weekend will go directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

‘80s Ice will be at the Moraine Plaza Sam’s Club in Butler, PA this Sunday, July 7th from 11 AM to 1 PM. Please stop by to grab an authentic Hawaiian shave ice and help us support our local Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) hospitals. 100% of our sales on Sunday will go directly to the CMN!

No tunes. No trailer. No dice?

We might not have our trailer just yet. And we might not be blasting our ‘80s tunes this weekend.

But we want to invite all of the Jeff Spicolis of the world to the Soft Opening of ‘80s Ice – starting at the Butler Area Community Day scheduled for Saturday, September 23 at Alameda Park in Butler, PA.

Come experience a different kind of cool treat shaved from block ice, flavored with syrups made from 100% pure cane sugar, and topped with fun and unique toppings. We’ll be serving up authentic Hawaiian shave ice from 11 AM to 4 PM.

‘80s Ice is an independent, family-owned Domestic Limited Liability Company (LLC) founded in 2023 by two students from Butler Senior High School that are looking to hold jobs while maintaining very demanding scholastic and extracurricular schedules. Our business model is simple. Serve authentic Hawaiian-style shave ice while creating a fun and memorable ‘80s-style experience for our customers.

Our company is based in Butler, Pennsylvania and is registered with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We operate out of a custom-built 7 ft x 12 ft mobile shave ice trailer that has been licensed for use by both the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and the Allegheny County Health Department. We have the capability to host almost any event, large or small, such as sporting functions, business functions, school functions, birthdays, weddings, graduations, and more.

While we’re excited to experience firsthand the challenges of running a business, we’re equally excited for the opportunity to give back to the communities we serve. Our goal is to donate at least 10% of our profits to sponsoring organizations or local charities.
