I have seen lots of postings on Facebook for build the same kit contest. I never enter them since I know I’m not that good a builder. Well just when I thought I wouldn’t be in any contest my friend and fellow modeler Mike Howe somehow convinced me and Dave Milne to enter into a contest.

The subject is a 1/48th Messerschmitt Me109. Of course, none of us have the same exact kit but we decided that any Me109 would fit. I threw in the additional challenge that the aircraft must be “captured.”

The contest began on October 12th and runs till December 31st. As of this point, I haven’t done much on mine. My entry is a Revell 1/48th Me 109G. It looks rather simple since there are only three sprues that apparently have all the parts. I’ll find out as I go along. I did some dry fitting and so far, it looks like things will fit fairly decently. I know for certain once I really get into building the kit. Below are some snapshots of my entry and I hope that I will have it completed long before December 31st rolls around.
