Want a garden that “comes back” without you replanting every year? Self-seeding flowers are the closest thing to low-maintenance magic. ✨

A few tips to help them return reliably:
🌾 Let some blooms fully dry on the plant at the end of the season (that’s the seed forming)
🍂 Leave a small patch of soil undisturbed so seeds can settle in
🚫 Go easy on heavy mulch in those areas. A thick layer can smother tiny seedlings
🌧️ Water gently in spring so you don’t wash new sprouts away

Spring flowers for hanging baskets 🌸🧺 Hanging baskets look best when you mix flowers that do more than just bloom pretty.
A good basket usually has:
🌿 one plant that fills out fast
🌿 one that trails nicely over the edge
🌿 flowers with similar sun and watering needs
Petunias and calibrachoa are great if you get lots of sun.
Fuchsia and lobelia usually do better where afternoons are a little cooler.
Biggest beginner mistake? Letting baskets dry out too far once the weather warms up. Hanging planters can go from “fine” to “crispy” fast in spring sun ☀️
