After 32 incredible years, it’s time for The Book Parlor to say goodbye. ❤️
Since opening in 1994, this store has been so much more than just a business—it’s been a gathering place, a community hub, and a home away from home for so many. I’ve had the honor of being the third owner since 2009, and carrying on what was built before me has truly been a privilege.
On a personal note, The Book Parlor has been home in every sense of the word—my four children were practically raised within these walls. They grew up surrounded by stories, community, and the everyday magic this place has always held. That makes this goodbye even more meaningful for our family.
Today, we begin to close this chapter and mark the end of an era. Our final day will be May 2.
We are endlessly grateful for the support, friendships, and memories that have filled these walls over the years. From familiar faces who walked in weekly, to customers who became friends—you are what made this place special.
A heartfelt thank you to my incredible employees who have supported me over the years—especially during the times when life got too busy. Your dedication, care, and hard work are a huge part of what kept me going these last few years.
As we prepare to close, we will be offering a storewide sale:
• 50% off with cash/venmo purchases
• 40% off when using a credit card
We have also begun connecting with a few similar retail stores who are interested in purchasing our remaining inventory, helping ensure some of what we’ve built continues on.
Being a pillar in this community has meant everything to us, and we are so proud of the legacy that will live on in the stories we’ve shared together.
