Today's newsletter comes to you from the heart. 2020 has certainly been a 'confusing year'. Too much of everything. Please allow me to encourage ALL of you to be kind to one another. Do a good deed for someone else. Enjoy your family and friends every chance you get.
As far as collecting and investing in gold, silver, coins, currency, baseball cards, comics and other collectibles - enjoy doing so.
I can give you a myriad of reasons why you should do something - and I am willing to give you advice - but ultimately it is up to you.
Be prudent in what you do.
Get out of debt.
Save for a rainy day.
Enjoy life.

I just have to get this off my chest today. I have heard of many people getting 'talked into' joining a 'club' to buy silver and other 'investment coins'. You need to pay a 'membership fee' and then sign up for monthly 'investment coins' to be sent to you. Why do people fall for this? It is nothing more than a pyramid scheme to make you think like you are getting a good deal. It just isn't so. I will never put you on a mailing list and try and sell you an overpriced coin once a month. I sell silver to my customers at a lower cost than these 'clubs' do. And while there are many coins worthy of investment, what these 'clubs' are selling you is nothing more than a 'pie in the sky' approach to investing in numismatics. Truth be told they are nothing more than a way for them to make money. It has nothing to do with you. If you have any questions about this and just want to talk, give me a call. At my age and position in life, I want you to succeed. I want you to make good decisions based on facts, not fiction. I also want you to feel comfortable in making those decisions and not based on someone or some company telling you what to do. I have had many people bring me items they have purchased based on false premises.........just don't do it.

There was a big move in both precious metals to close at near all-time highs. Both metals have begun this week – July 27th – with even higher prices. It has become a ‘bull market’ that has sustained itself for a couple of weeks now.
Our feeling about gold and silver has not changed. We feel like putting 10-20% of your long term investment program is advisable. We also feel that you should not go into debt to finance these purchases. Those that steadily invest their funds over time should do well.
The gold/silver ratio was at an all time high of 120 ounces of silver to 1 ounce of gold. That ration is now down to 80 to 1. .
We still believe that silver has a lot of room to increase. Inventories are becoming tighter and margins have increased because of the overall demand for silver.
There are many reasons to buy gold and silver – long term, short term, lack of faith in the US monetary system, security and low interest rates with cash in the bank.
