The idea of Ink & Matter started in the spring of 2013, as I was asked to make some hand lettered items for my good friend's wedding that summer. When I saw how much she loved the things I had made and realized how much I loved making them, I knew I had to keep going. My love for hand lettering started at a very young age. I've always been fascinated by letters, words, and how every persons hand c

reates a different style of all our letters. I began practicing calligraphy in 2014 and haven't stopped since. Calligraphy is so much more than just writing. It's a work of art, a practice that takes immense amounts of patience.
