We want to introduce you to a very small, very determined little guy at the SPCA Serving Erie County.

A baby goat was recently born at our Educational Farm, and from the very beginning, he needed help.

In his first 24 hours, he was unable to nurse from his mom and couldn’t take a bottle, leaving him weak and vulnerable at a time when he needed warmth, comfort, and stability the most. Our farm volunteer team and veterinary staff stepped in immediately, providing necessary care. Through that critical first day, he was gently tube-fed every four hours; quiet, careful support aimed at giving him time and a chance to keep going.

And slowly, he began to respond.

Small improvements. Small signs of strength. The kinds of changes that carry so much weight when every hour matters.

Now, we’re relieved to share that he is nursing from his mom and continuing to grow stronger each day!

He doesn’t have a name yet, but he is already deeply cared for. He is safe, he is warm, and he is surrounded by people who stayed with him through his most vulnerable hours and never stopped caring.

His story is still just beginning, but it already speaks to something powerful: that even the smallest lives are worth the biggest efforts, and that compassion can change the course of a life!
