Star Babies Crochet Handmade Knit and Crochet Hats, Blankets, Loveys and Photography Sets This Etsy Store is inspired by my son Declan, who was stillborn December 23,2011.

He weighed 1 pound 5 ounces and was 11-3/4 inches long. He was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around his abdomen which had cut off his circulation and caused his heart to stop beating. While we were at the hospital we received a hat and blanket to wrap him in as we said our hellos and goodbyes. We were so grateful for the Handmade Set we received for Declan that I taught myself to crochet so

that I could make sets and donate to the hospital in memory of our son. We found support through The MISS Foundation and met other grieving parents. And I began making gifts for them as they announced their subsequent pregnancies. I began to receive requests for custom items from friends and family as I shared photos of my creations on Facebook, and they encouraged me to open an Etsy Shop. I am grateful for the opportunity to use my talent to honor my son in this way. Every item that is purchased supports our mission to continue making Memorial Sets for all the little Star Babies loved and dearly missed. Thank you,
