Hot off the press and delivered to us by the incredibly talented, all around lovely, and local Lyndsey Marston of 3-Legged Dog Ink! We've been working with Lyndsey for a few weeks and she captured all our favorite details of the storefront 🩷🩷🩷 We'll have other stickers designed by Lyndsey and a variety of note cards with her illustrations.
Come in to pick up yours, and your besties', and your mom's, and your auntie's, and whoever else you want!

🐈‍⬛📚🎉New Title Tuesday!

So much stuff this week it's hard to pick the one I'm most excited about but here's the highlights from each slide:

The Calamity Club by Kathryn Stockett- it's been a minute since we've had a new book from Kathryn but boy howdy does she deliver! An epic testament to underestimated women who know that calamity can be the spark of new beginnings.

Daisy Chain Flower Shop by Laurie Gilmore- Dream Harbor is back! The latest edition of the cozy romance has all of my favorite tropes: golden retriever man (Elliot) falling for the black cat FMC (Daisy) and she's only a black cat b/c the schmuck mayor declared Daisy's flower shop bad luck. But you and I both know black cats aren't really bad luck and just need a little patience and fake dating 😂

My YA pick is the hardest of the bunch- I love a Romance and I love D&D so Rolls & Rivalry by Kristy Boyce is high up my rec list buuuuuut Young World by Soman Chainani is SUCH a cool book about a Teen President and if you think this book is a wacky romp you would be so so wrong. Intense and leans more towards Lord of the Flies.

And asfor the kids books I truly don't have a fav. It's all good people!

We are so excited to have Debbie J. Callahan , local author, historian, teacher, and Holocaust Remembrance advocate at BookStacks on Saturday May 2nd from 11am-1pm.

This event is part of the Books in Bloom Spring Literary Trail and my fellow Bucksport/Orland businesses The Phoenix Cafe , Bucksport Trading Post , and Ebee's Sweets will be hosting author's as well!

Please note that the trail goes throughout the day but check out H & H Mercantile's page for details of when each business is hosting their authors!

New Titles This Week! 🐈‍⬛📚

I am Especially Excited about "Everything in Color" by Stephanie Stalvey. "In her luminous debut, Stalvey meditates on her separation from fundamentalist Christianity and how she found love despite questioning her faith." -Publishers Weekly
I've been following .stalvey.artist for a long time and have been drawn to her storytelling from the get go. I am so excited and so honored to have her book in our shop🩷🎉
