Went out fishing yesterday morning for gills. I definitely had to think outside the box. The neutral is challenging. I used a 3mm jig with the Bonefish profile. They didn't want that. Tried the Tadpole Jr. Caught a couple of gills. Hole hopped. Then I tore the Ice Mite in half. The gills were still biting ever so lightly but getting more strikes.
As an outdoorsman, I like how nature makes you a critical thinker.
Changing colors, profiles, jigging cadence and among many more ideas.
Don't be afraid to change what ever profile you are using. Rip it half. Tear off tail(s). Put it on sideways.
Best of luck on your Hardwater season!!!
