Hey ya'll!
Happy spring! Just a little bio about me and what I'm doing here.
My name is Jillian and I created YOUniquely MEcycled in 2020 (when I had a lot of time on my hands)! 😄 I'm originally from Boston, but am living in Western Maine now. I've also got some southern roots mixed in there, with a groovy 60s vibe thrown in as well. ✌️
I live in a tiny house, in the woods, with my doggos, Rupert and Joey 🐾
I've always made art. First, for some family and friends. Then, they convinced me to make art for others to enjoy as well. I create whimsical pieces of art made out of organic, natural and recycled materials.
I make large lion busts, made from acorns, walnuts, Birch leaves, Beach grasses, and maple stems.
I also make jewelry, made from popcorn kernels, sunflower seeds, eucalyptus leaves, pine cone petals, cantaloupe seeds, pistachio shells, and bell pepper seeds, Etc.
Then, I also make beautiful garden flowers! I make them out of plastic bottles, bottle caps, straws and metal and then I spray paint them and seal them.
Ooo, also my giant recycled sea creatures made from cardboard and bottle caps! I've also been known to make a moose or two, and a chicken!
My most favorite things to make, though, is something for my friends and family. My bestie loves concerts, so I make her band earrings for every concert she goes to! My brother loves elephants, so I've painted him a giant, multi-colored, glow-in-the-dahk elephant, on a wicked lahge black canvas!
