Its New Comic Book Day and one of the most printed issues DC has ever put out in a long time is here with Absolute Batman #20! But as discussed prior, industry wide damages have affected all printings of the book - visible spine damage to the middle of the book. DC has informed us that grading companies have been notified of the damage so if you were collecting to grade it, the spine damage won't be a part of the grading score.
We have been informed to sell the books ' as is ' with a fresh batch of 2nd prints coming to shops at no cost. So for all of our Absolute Batman pullbox subs, we are going to sell the book today at cover price and slip a 2nd printing in your boxes for free when they come in early in June. If youre not happy with the damage on the book and dont want to buy it, that's ok... let us know and we can put you down for a charge on the 2nd print when it comes in. Again, this was an industry wide issue where most shops were affected, so while it sucks for everyone, DC is doing what they can to make good on the mistake. EDIT: THIS ALSO AFFECTED ABSOLUTE MARTIAN MANHUNTER THIS WEEK, SO SAME OFFER WILL BE MADE FOR THIS BOOK!
