2025 has been a rather exciting year for DNS, we had the opportunity to go to our first SHOT SHOW and connect with a lot of folks that are passionate about the fi****ms industry/community it is today. Not only that but it was a great opportunity to understand more on any industry regulations that may have changed with the ATF.
Among the many vendors, suppliers, manufacturers; there was a presence from the Sonoran Desert Institute (SDI) and Talon Jayne from Tradesman Fi****ms LLC.
As a gunsmith that went from working as an apprentice to later obtaining a certificate around the same time I received my FFLs. When DNS Armament first started, there was not much in the terms of tools in the shop, operating out of a garage and only providing what services that could be offered. (Mostly hand tools, cleaners, a bench a vice and light drill press ) it’s been a fun journey; changing locations a couple of times and starting up all over again. It feels good that we now have established roots and begin the journey of leaving the garage to an actual building!
With all that being said, nothing about this venture has been easy or done overnight; but it has been rewarding.
Check out the this video from Talon at Tradesman, he’s a very passionate gunsmith and it was an excellent pleasure meeting him and having this interview. I will also say if you get a chance give him a like and follow. And for those looking to expand their knowledge into gunsmithing; definitely check into the SDI, it might be worth your time.
See you all next post!
