“What do you look for in winemakers?”

We don’t.

We look for wines.

Every bottle is tasted blind.
No labels.
No backstories.
No reputations at the table.

Just the wine.

Only after it’s chosen
do we meet the person behind it.

And almost every time,
they turn out to be exactly who you’d hope.

But we never start there.

We start with the wine.

Would you choose the story — or the wine?

“The feeling when a collection arrives.”

It’s simple.
It should feel like a present.

Not because it’s flashy — it isn't.
But because it’s carefully chosen.
And meant to be opened, not saved.

A box you don’t rush through.
Wines meant to be enjoyed together.

A moment of anticipation.
Then sharing.

That’s the feeling we hope for.

More to come. 🍷

When someone gets it, they get it. 🍷
nailed what we're about: seeking the unique over the familiar.

These two bottles—L'Epervier 2020 from Château Pech Redon and the unique Chardonnay 2022 from Domaine Sibille—are exactly the kind of uncharted wines we hunt for. Artisanal producers. Unexpected. The kind you'll never find in a wine shop.

We cap our membership at 600 people who love discovery over consensus.

Five to six collections a year. Six bottles each. All selected through blind tastings.

If you're the kind of wine drinker who leans toward the uncharted, you are provably a Vinefinder in the making.

Are you the kind of wine drinker who gravitates towards the unique or the familiar?

While we certainly enjoy our favorites, we frequently lean in the direction of trying new and unique wines whenever possible. Here are two particularly intriguing bottlings by MVA Wine that we instantly fell in love with!

2020 L'éperview by Château Pech Redon - Coming from the La Clape appellation that sits along the coast in the heart of France's Languedoc, this single vineyard blend of Grenache and Syrah boasts incredible savory and herbal charms alongside rich dried fruits and spices. It is dense and layered yet phenominally balanced, and brilliantly compliments hearty winter fare.

2022 Chardonnay by Domaine Sibille - This single vineyard Chardonnay from France's Pays d'Oc is one of the most unconventional examples of this variety we've experienced in some time. Its rich golden color bestowed by extended skin contact beautifully reflects the character of the wine as concentrated orchard, stone, citrus, and even tropical fruits leap from the glass with depth and complexity. It possesses a mineral backbone and delightful old world charms to go with its ever-evolving and exciting flavor profile.

We hope you get the chance to try some unique wine soon!

Checks out. ✓

We’ve been following the uncharted for a while now.

Mostly because that’s where the interesting things tend to hide.

Kathleen Willcox put words to something we’ve felt for years in her latest GOOD + TASTY piece — why small, independent wine communities lare having a moment.

Not because they’re loud.
But because we’re paying attention.

We’ll keep looking off the map.
Sharing the very best.

If you’re curious what we’re finding right now, it’s at mva.wine. 🍷

Second in our a collection Series — the wines, the makers, and the places that shape them.

Wine No.2 comes from La Clape, a windswept plateau above the Mediterranean, where Christophe Bousquet waited years for the right site before committing fully to it.

This is a wine built with precision.
Its power held in check.
A place speaking clearly through the glass.

Would you open this one by the fire — or by the sea?
