The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1948 and is more relevant and important now than ever before. Artist, Meredith Stern has illustrated all 30 articles with these beautiful Linocut prints and collected them in this large booklet. Recommended!

We got several fantastic new zines from the good folk at Fugitive Materials is a tribute to “the pioneering Black trans performer and labor activist-and the first trans person represented by the American Civil Liberties Union-Sir Lady Java (1942-2024). Fugitive Materials works to preserve radical histories through the disruption of informational privilege through archiving, publishing and bookselling. Important work, you bet.

Penelope, our favorite publisher from Petit Mort dropped off a nice box of sex-positive pulp. We got issues 13 & 14 of Petit Mort plus a rerelease of the issue number one. Baby 2026 is a beautiful little compilation of work by poets, photographers and artists. Little Devil’s collects poetry that emerged from Madison Murray’s workshop and Sessions is a very hot screenplay. All of it is super inspirational and gorgeous and, of course, sexy!

We are now carrying a selection of books from Hyldyr, an independent and experimental publishing house out of Olympia, WA. If you’re interested in Rines, Paganism, plant animism, etc. you’ll love these beautifully designed books.

Welcome Majde! Majde is in the store Monday - Friday for the month of May. She has come all the way from Belgium to spend a month with us improving her English(which is pretty darn good to begin with.) So come by and chat her ears off!

Our pal, Jay Ruttenberg, creator of the hilarious zine, The Lowbrow Reader, stopped in and signed copies of his children’s book, Gabba Gabba Hey, We Accept You. No kid is too young to be introduced to Ramones, right? right!
