I spend every morning on that little couch. Drinking coffee, doing Duolingo, and thinking of ways to get my Fundanglers earrings out to the masses.

I believe it is time to ask for people to sign up for a email list. I would most likely send 4 emails per year. One email for each quarterly launch.

I spend way more than I make, but I have faith that one day, all my earrings will sell out within a week of posting new pieces.

I had a delightful first visit during today’s at here in Brooklyn, NY!
•
For at least nine years, FabScrap has been collecting unused fabrics from fashion houses of all types. The houses pay to send their unused fabrics to FabScrap, what parts can be resold or repurposed are done in the warehouse, those that are not, are sent to former cotton mills in South Carolina to be made into insulation, furniture blankets, etc.
•
GENIUS idea by two women. One that worked at Karl Lagerfeld and one that worked at the Dept of Sanitation in NY. (What a friend combo).
•
The presentation by… Nicole? Rachel? (I arrived post name introduction and was over stimulated by the entire process) was detailed in the workings of how a handful of staff and a truckload of volunteers make this operation work.
•
This is how we celebrate and save the earth.

I found a hummingbird in a parking lot, that could not flutter for flight. I named her Vera.
Vera perched on my thumb for 40 minutes, while myself and the crew researched what to do. Art department made a bed, PAs got some sticks for a perch, grips found some flowers, I had a hand warmer in my medic bag. Vlada prepared the sugar juice. Scripty researched animal rescues.
We collectively looked at her with wonder. Everyone felt so special to be so near. After work, I belted Vera’s box into the front seat of my car. Continued to feed her from the tip of a coffee stir, and watched that split tongue lick up the “nectar”. Vera would hop to me, stare lovingly, and did not cower. This was a very special moment.
The next morning, I was grateful she was still alive and found that the would open at 9am. Made coffee, then put on every bird accessory I owned. The process was prompt at WBF, yet thorough. I wasn’t the only one rescuing found birds. I have a whole new appreciation for migratory birds. Those 12 hours were magical and oddly healing of sadness that lies deep inside. Immediately afterwards, my man took me to buy a hummingbird feeder. I hope one day Vera’s friends will stop by for a drink to say hello. ❤️

Happy Siblings Day! Thanks for the reminder Josh! I have four amazing brothers and four amazing sisters! Plus, the added bonus of their spouses! I yearn for the belly laughter days that comes with hanging out with my siblings. The kind of laughter that cramps the muscles I can’t find when I put on a bikini. Big family’s have their eye rolls, but also plenty of love.
Pamala, Chris, Rob, Kevin, DeAnna, Sudie, Josh, & Jess love you all. Thanks for always answering the phone when I call or text random stuff. ❤️

It has been the hardest year. I am grateful for my family and friends that consistently have called, checked in, and lent an ear to my tears. I look forward to this monumental year that will pass as all years do, but mindful of who it is spent with and what I do with it. Hug your people. Tell them you love them often. ❤️
