Takiyah Jerome is the owner and creative force behind Fashionsbytj (TJ=Takiyah Jerome). She sews, crochets and paints to create unique fashions and accessories. She had her own clothing line called Tastee T’s Fashions, which transitioned to Fashionsbytj from August 2000 - February 2006. Her fashions were showcased in fashions shows throughout the country and sold in multiple boutiques in her homet

own of Brooklyn, NY, and two in California - 4W Circle, House of Brown etc. Due to the pressures of entrepreneurial hardships, planning family weddings, and getting married herself , Takiyah decided to close down her fashion business with plans of increasing her corporate fashion career. She now has 11 plus years of corporate fashion experience as well as skills in design, production, sales and everything in between. In 2011 Takiyah decided to return to her entrepreneurial roots and get back to business. She debuted a wonderful line of handcrafted jewelry and accessories. In 2017 Fashionsbytj restructured and began selling Headwraps and and turning up the Afrocentric inspiration in the accessories. Wearing Headwraps and culturally inspired pieces takes it back to Takiyah's roots. She has been wearing Headwraps since she was 10 years, and African clothing since she was a small kid.
