Ride Brooklyn

Ride Brooklyn We pride ourselves on expert sales and service We take pride in making every customer feel welcome, whether you are a seasoned racer or a first-time rider.

Ride Brooklyn was founded by Jessica and Peter Kocher on May 9th, 2009.Contrary to the reputation at the time of NYC bike shops as havens for stodgy hipster know-it-alls, we sought to do things completely different. Ride Brooklyn's core values were founded as an all-inclusive shop welcoming people of all races, ethnicities, and gender identities. Our Service Staff has years of experience with all

kinds of bikes. From kid's bikes with training wheels, Dutch cargo bikes, and fixed gears; to elite race bikes with hydraulic brakes and electronic shifting. You name it, we've probably worked on it. We are passionate about cycling and helping fellow cyclists, even if you don't consider yourself a cyclist.

Our Story

Ride Brooklyn is New York City’s fastest growing bike shop. Since opening its doors in May of 2009, the family owned shop located at 468 Bergen Street in Park Slope, bordering Prospect Heights and Cobble Hill, has grown by leaps and bounds. It has also added a second bike shop which opened Williamsburg in the spring of 2012. Ride Brooklyn’s top priority is the customer’s experience, whether seasoned racer or first time commuter. Ride Brooklyn offers a wide selection of bicycles including Giant, Cannondale, Electra, Linus, Origin8, Schwinn, and GT as well as as a variety of cycling apparel and components from Sugoi, Chrome, Mavic, Garmin, Reynolds, Hold Fast, and Louis Garneau among many more.

In addition to its wide range of products, Ride Brooklyn has a full repair shop staffed by expert mechanics as well as a computraining studio and professional fit station. Ride Brooklyn enjoys supporting local cycling clubs and is a sponsor of Brooklyn Tri Club.
