Este mes las cooperativas se unen para dar a conocer un modelo empresarial probado que lucha contra la desigualdad de ingresos y la injusticia de los trabajadores.

Para celebrar este mes dedicado a los trabajadores-propietarios que lo hacen posible, echemos un vistazo a lo lejos que han llegado las cooperativas:

* 1 de cada 3 estadounidenses es socio de una cooperativa, que cuenta con 350 millones de socios de cooperativas en todo el mundo.
* 29.000 cooperativas operan en todos los sectores de la economía estadounidense.
* 1.000 millones de personas son miembros de cooperativas en todo el mundo.
* 50.000 familias estadounidenses confían en las guarderías y centros preescolares cooperativos para el cuidado de sus hijos.

This month co-operatives join together to raise awareness of a proven business model that fights against income inequality and workers injustice.

To celebrate October, that is dedicated to worker-owners that make it happen, let’s take a look at how far co-operatives have come:

👉 1 in 3 Americans are co-op members holding 350 million co-op memberships worldwide.
👉 29,000 cooperatives operate in every sector of the U.S. economy.
👉 1 billion people are members of cooperatives worldwide.
👉 50,000 U.S. families rely on cooperative daycare facilities and preschools for the care of their children.
👉 Most of the America’s 2 million farmers are farmer co-op members providing 250,000 jobs and $8 billion in annual wages.
👉 1.2 million U.S. families of all income levels live in homes owned and operated through cooperatives.
