We are thrilled and honored that awarded Vers the Brooklyn Arts Fund grant which will help fuel our sewing educational programming.

We love how Brooklyn Arts Council continually and thoroughly shows up for creators in this borough, with values rooted in looking honestly at the injustices everywhere, and co-creating a just and joyful city.

The Sew and Sew Workshops at Vers are sponsored, in part, by the Greater New York Arts Development Fund of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, administered by Brooklyn Arts Council. This is our third grant from BAC, and we are so proud!

It takes a village to support the arts! We are also sew grateful for sponsorship from - providing dinner from and special treats for SEW LATE participants!

SEW BASIC: 1st Wednesdays 6-9pm
Learn the basics of sewing with us! We’ll show you how to use a sewing machine along with simple hand-sewing techniques and you’ll make a new item from scratch -- start to finish — that you get to take home with you!
All materials and machines are provided.
$30-60 sliding scale

SEW LATE: 1st Fridays 8pm til Late!
Bring a sewing project (or start a new one) while you hang out in the VERSiverse AFTERHOURS! Make some new pieces and make some new friends! Use our notions and sewing machines while you get all the guidance and good vibes you need!

SEW NEXT LEVEL: 3rd Wednesdays 6-9pm
You’ve got some sewing machine basics under your belt and you’re ready to take it up a notch. We’ll teach more advanced skills through upcycling garments and textiles into new one-of-a-kind pieces. Prioritizing those of you who have not had the chance to walk with us yet! But if you want to model again, please do hit us up!! We've loved working with each of you!!

volunteer model time requirements:
- 30 min fitting at .nyc, Thursday-Saturday April 9th 10th & 11th: 1-7pm - let us know a time that works for you!

- Thursday 4/16 model call time 2:30pm at the Cope NYC building 630 Flushing Ave, Brooklyn

This multi designer show begins at 6pm
