These Broken Pieces

Very thankful for the custom orders of painted Bibles I had the opportunity to do for this Christmas season!

It was really awesome because each customer gave me some basic things the wanted and most of them said I give you creative freedom.

My little heart just burst with that!

Thank you each of you for letting me and God have the opportunity to talk while painting your Bibles! Gods word is alive and I pray that with the customization it will remind you just how much God loves you.

God is giving me soooooo many ideas. You know I once asked God to take away the ideas?
Yup. I wanted to use the gifts but I just didn’t know how didn’t feel like I had permission from others to use them the way I thought God was calling me to use them.

Isn’t that funny. I thought I needed permission from others to obey God?

Needless to say God very carefully healed me up from that. And here I am.

I’ve learned to ask - ok God. Is this idea for now? Or for later?

What do I need to work on now and what do I need to prep for later.

It’s like cooking two things in the kitchen at once.

You can boil water for pasta while peeling carrots. You can have the roast in the crockpot while prepping potatoes to go in it.

You can knead the dough then leave it alone for awhile so you can let it rise.

The lesson? Just because you’re not active in the idea He gave you in the moment doesn’t mean you failed.

The dough has to rise.

So ask God to heal you from the inside out.

And also remember- seek first HIS kingdom. When you give those ideas He gave you back to him and not keep them for yourself but ask Him how He wants you to use them - the peace and the contentment is so amazing.

So what you thiught was broken? Give Him the pieces and let Him heal it.

Turns out real pretty don’t it?

We are gearing up for one of my favorite times of year. Thanksgiving. I used to love it for the food. Now it’s becoming more about slowing down and being thankful.

I’m learning day by day to slow down and just enjoy what God has done.

So. For November.

Everyday leading up to Thanksgiving - I know you can find something to tell Him thank you for.

Jesus is enough.

He gave us life when he didn’t have to. He gave us breath. He gave us so much.

And then on top of that He gave us free will to choose him. Many argue whether that is a thing. Well- I know that I am not a robot that’s for sure.

Then he gave us Jesus when we messed up so bad we couldn’t approach His holy throne ourselves. He said - I’ll make a way and I know my Son will win. And he did.

Happy Thanksgiving season people.

I was really shocked when I got feedback so quickly!

Trystan and Rachel both encouraged me as I wrote to keep going and I did. And I cried tears of relief and joy and reassurance when these words came across the screen.

So thankful God is using what I’ve been learning to help others too!!

It’s in the process of going to be printed! “What is it?” you ask.
A surprise.
But before I show you
It’s time to give a little testimony.

So that way you’ll really really be ready for when this first part comes!!

It’s funny how when you look back you see God fixing it all.

I - Montana- the start of these broken pieces -have been blessed ABUNDANTLY.

But before that could come I was broken.

It wasn’t like just one thing was broken it was all the things and they were all the same color and nothing fit right no matter how hard I tried to fix it.

I didn’t have any glue.

I kept trying to fixing my life with band aids and ductape. I never LET! Key word LET the glue in.

I’ll never forget the day when I realized how wrong I had been. At that point the ductape trap broke and the broken pieces broke even more. I was a puddle in my tiny bathrom floor screaming on the inside. For i had two small children needing me to be put together and a husband who couldn’t understand. I had nothing left to fix It myself. Because I didnt know how to let go. If I let go that mesnt I gave up. If I gave up then I lost . If I lost If I lost then what?

But Jesus. I never knew just how much He could do until He got me out of the hole I put myself In.

Im sure youre wondering “what In the world was so bad???” Does it matter? The point Is- were all broken. No matter how much duct tape we use. It doesn’t matter whether I know It all or not

God already sees It.

These broken pieces was given to me to start helping people heal

Through art, stationary, and more coming soon I pray God uses my story to help others heal.
