There’s seems to be some confusion on the 458 Vestal & 460 Vestal. The pic below will give you an idea of the differences between the two. Left- 460 Vestal, .710” boltface (almost .750” base diameter) and pushes a 700gr bullet around 3250fps and uses BMG primers. Middle- 458 Vestal, .640” boltface (same as Cheytac), however with a base diameter of .700” I highly recommend an action with a tenon size of 1.250” minimum, and pushes a 700gr around 2900fps using standard magnum primers. Only use White River Magnum primers as they are hotter than the Fed 215 when igniting over 200+grs of powder. The 458 Vestal brass comes with an .080” flash hole and needs to be drilled out to 2.5mm (.0984”). Right is 375 Cheytac (400gr bullet) for comparison. Pierce Engineering makes the 20X action with correct boltface for each of these cartridges as well as BAT Machine Company Inc. Also the 50 Vestal, not pictured, uses the same case as the 460 Vestal. Formed and correct headstamped brass is available for all the “Vestal” cartridges. Hopefully this helps with any confusion and answers most questions
