Sea Rose Cottage offers a curated selection of products that help bring personality, pep, and a personal touch to the home or home-away-from-home. With a knack for color and eye for design Nancy aims to help her customers achieve their vision for their interiors. Products include specialty paints and hardware for sprucing up furniture and cabinetry, floor coverings, and new + vintage goods and accessories to bring color and life to the home + garden. Our flagship retail location (face-to-face sales) is now at 223 Spring Street in Newport, RI. Our working studio and workshop space, and online order fulfillment remains at 21 Constitution Street in Bristol. Our Bristol location will be open only for contactless porch pick-up due to the pandemic. Join us on Saturday April 18 at 9:30 am at the BH&PS HQ, 48 Court Street, Bristol, RI, for a workshop entitled “Know Your Options: New Materials for Your Old House”.

Architect and preservation expert Vincent Pacifico will lead this exploration into which modern materials are appropriate for use on historic buildings and how they can be best used in ways that maintain historic character, but are also functional and sustainable. The event will start with a conversational show-and-tell about which modern materials have been recently approved for the Bristol Historic District and then take participants on a walking tour of their use on buildings right here in town. Vincent, who owns and runs the full service architectural studio Pacific-Visions Studio, will also talk about his time working on historic structures and what he has seen in the field.

Advanced Registration is required and space is limited. Tickets cost $20/$15 for BH&PS members and can be purchased at bhpsri.org. For more information, please email [email protected].

Catch of the day—our Cape Cod store displays! Great one-of-a-kind pieces. A large, sturdy double wide wooden bookcase and a vintage metal post office mail sorter.
