This message is for our cellist community and beyond. We have a very unusual opportunity for a lucky cellist to purchase this 1920s era W.E. Hill & Sons cello bow. It isn't a copy, is has been independently assessed and valued at $9500, document included with purchase. This bow plays like a dream, the weight is a perfect 80.5 grams, it feels weightless in the hand as the balance is excellent. The pernambuco is gorgeous as is the fit and finish. Fully silver mounted, with new winding and grip by yours truly. Price negotiable. Feel free to share far and wide, I am willing to ship this one to the right buyer.

The pandemic has hit Seery Strings particularly hard. It has meant nearly a complete stoppage of incoming work and sales. We have remained busy though completing a backlog of "someday" projects. We are also still here, still healthy, and still working and have created safe methods for dropping off and picking up repairs (such as porch drop offs and over the phone consultations while you wait). We are also available to provide items shipped and can even help with sales should you be in the need of an exceptional quality instrument or rental. Our in depth experience with the buying process translates well to distancing protocols and is significantly better than taking a shot in the dark with some warehouse online retailer. Please make every effort to support local businesses during this time, many of us are still operating and need your support now more than ever!

During these strange times many people are using their extra time at home for practicing! Many teachers are also now offering remote lessons. The problem with this is that particularly for younger students they won't be available to make the minute adjustments the teachers often make - especially tuning with the pegs. We want everyone to know that we are here to help. No matter where you rent from our where you got your instrument we are happy to help keep you playing. We will do minor adjustments like tuning for no charge. We have remained healthy here and as an appointment based business we see one customer at a time so our risk is minimal. We can even come out to the car to get the instrument from you if you are concerned. Thank you and be well!
