As an Aires,
January begins the countdown to spring 🌸
I love that we get to reimagine and reuse the world around us as inspiration to fuel our creative minds.
Each piece of vintage I collect and sell holds a special place in my heart. I have pieces that l'll never be able to wear, just sitting in my closet because l've grown attached to them (I always joke that this career is just a cover-up for my shopping addiction). The reality is that I truly appreciate fashion; I love art and design, but mostly, I love the stories that come with clothing. With each piece, I daydream a story or situation that transports me back to the time when it was first acquired. Sitting with folks and learning about the history behind the garments-and the fact that they trust me to ensure it lives on to have another life-is my favorite part of this job. That, and getting to meet and interact with the people who choose to shop and trade these pieces. That connection of life, to me, is the art of vintage. I am so honored to commemorate these stories and the vintage clothing by appreciating them once more with each card I paint. Thank you all for being a part of the story.
