Bay Club Carl was working again and look what showed up in his office . Caught on Riptide minnow. Kings and spot are still hanging in the surf despite the “toothy” critters chasing them all over. Bloodworms and Fishbites are working for the smaller fish and if you want to catch a bigger fish we have a shark rigs and all the bait to entice them to feed.
Minnow tanks are full and the shop has been getting a steady flow of anglers looking to put a highlight in their day of fishing.
Shop will be open until 5:00 pm and you can call us if you need an after-hours pick up.

Thanks and Have a Great Day

THIS JUST FILLED MY HEART WITH JOY!

Today, something happened at the shop that reminded me that there are still some really great people in this world.

A 6-year-old boy named Jackson was walking on the sidewalk next to the shop when he looked down and found a $100 bill. He picked it up, showed his dad, and his father brought him into the shop to return it. He told us that if anyone came in claiming they had lost $100, it belonged to them.
I took down Jackson’s phone number and told him that if we couldn’t find the owner, the money would go back to him.
I spent about an hour going through our security footage and was able to see exactly who had dropped the money. It was a customer named Fred, who had been in the shop earlier that morning.
I posted a picture of Fred and his truck, hoping somehow he would see it.
Later that day, I got a call from someone who said he had a problem with a fishing rod he had purchased earlier that morning. I asked him, “By any chance, is the rod a Tica?” He said yes.
I then asked him what kind of truck he drove… and sure enough, it was the same truck I had seen on the security footage!
I told Fred that a 6-year-old boy named Jackson had found the $100 he had accidentally dropped and that because of Jackson, we were able to get his money back to him.
Fred then went to see Jackson in person to thank him, and then Fred told me something that made the story even better. A couple of years ago, he and his son had been in a very similar situation at Boscov’s . They had found something that someone had lost and turned it in to lost and found and wouldn’t you know it, the woman who lost it walked up to the counter while they were standing there!
I don’t know about you, but I absolutely LOVE when things work out the way they are supposed to, but more importantly, this story isn’t really about the $100.
It’s about a 6-year-old boy and parents who are teaching him the right lessons in life. Jackson could have easily kept that money. Instead, he did the right thing because his parents have taught him that doing the right thing matters.
Great job, Jackson! And a HUGE shoutout to his parents for raising such a great kid.
Sometimes, things really do work out exactly the way they’re supposed to.

Here is a true Flatty McDaddy !!! Dan was fishing on the Salty Rim and nailed this 29.75” 9 lb flounder using a live peanut bunker out in front of Brigantine NJ. That is our biggest flounder weigh in so far this season and it was a beauty.
We have been going through a lot of minnows and keeping our tanks loaded. The sun is beaming and it has been a very busy day at the shop.
Shop is open from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm every day.

Thanks and Have a Great Day
