The Star of Bethlehem will shine for the first time since 1226 this evening! This is THE star to wish on and say a little prayer! You can see the great conjunction for 45 minutes after sunset🌟

This is so true! I love that my oldest daughter has memorized so many of her books that she'll say, "no, no, no mommy don't read it. I can read it." While it may not be word for word, she knows how the story goes and she'll even add in her own sound effects.

Despite its annoyances for parents, repetitive reading offers a surprising number of benefits for new readers.

It's almost a brand new year!! Who's ready to in 2019?? With starting a new year I want to start a theme with all of you, and carry it on for the next few months! To start us off with a resolve to read, I have a little competition (with prizes!) to challenge us all to READ in 2019.

During the month of December I read "The Read Aloud Family" by Sarah Mackenzie. On her blog, she is putting together a challenge for '31 days of reading' for the month of January! This book (and this challenge) inspired me to create my own challenge to all of YOU and present tips, tricks, recommendations, and activities to motivate all of us to reconnect with our children and read aloud more in the New Year!
