Guys have been venturing out to all the spots on the lake with reports of 5-7” of ice. Hopefully with the cold this weekend we will put on some more and will start to see machines out next week. Reports of a good bluegill and perch bite with a few northerns being caught. Take a look at this hog of a perch caught yesterday, 16” 2lbs!!!

Over 4" now on the lake! Guys made it down to Marge's Island yesterday and across towards the tracks. It's fishing time!

3" and change for ice thickness. Initial report is some dirty water from all the wind before freeze up. It should clear up in the next few days. I will have a full selection of bait starting mid day today! Stop in and check out everything we have for the season!

Thought I would post an update to let people know how the ice is doing. The lake in general is doing much better than I expected. The ice hasn't really pulled away from the shore yet. The water you see on the pictures has ice underneath it. Thickness will vary a lot depending on location, however in front of the dock in the picture there was over 20". The ice is honeycombed so you need to be careful, use a spud and fish with a buddy. Should be good for a few more days but the temps next week are warm. Stop in for the latest!
