2025 Maine Moose hunt did not result in the harvest of a moose, however we did see 18 moose overall and there were opportunities to fill tag. No shots fired, no moose wounded. Great week with great people! Memories were made, knowledge, laughs and stories shared. Great week in my book!

Had a fantastic morning guiding our youngest daughter on her last youth day turkey hunt, only her second time out. She never wanted to be the one to squeeze the trigger until 2yrs ago when she was drawn for a Maine moose permit. She’s now 2 for 2 on hunts and game she has aimed at.

What’s on my mind FB asks….unfortunately, winter preparations. 🫣 I’ve procrastinated long enough and missed today of hunting to get some of it done. Weather is looking quite wet and windy for tomorrow. Still deciding what I will do. If I hunt for deer, ducks, or just continue with winter prep. I am on vacation next week so I plan on hunting most of the week. Hope yall are successful! Lets see some photos!

Got a short notice that a veteran and son hunter had a Maine zone 1 bull tag. Got lodging established and got the guides hooked up with my dad since I didn’t have enough notice to take the time off. They worked for it, but in the end it all paid off. The young man in the photo made a great shot and this moose expired quickly.

As you all know, hunting is a HUGE part of who I am. I generally try to keep things simple and support local when it comes to products used.
