Hello friends and followers.

I come to announce that I will be stepping back from full-time gunsmithing and transitioning into more of a part-time status moving forward.
This shift comes as we prepare to make some changes and work towards new goals and business plans for the future.
I want to make it clear that the doors at Wellmann Fi****ms are not closing and will remain open with plans to return to a full-time status at some point.
That being said, this change will require me to be more selective with service offerings and project timelines. Any questions or inquiries are more than welcome and I will be happy to assist when and where I can.

I am genuinely grateful and appreciative for the business and support that you all have blessed me with over the last several years. It has been an honor to serve you and I look forward to working with you more down the road.

We are excited to announce that we are now offering muzzle threading services.

With the recent changes in legislation, improved wait times and ever increasing popularity of suppressors, more and more hunters and shooters are taking the opportunity to join in on the fun and live the quiet life. Once you shoot suppressed, you won’t ever want to go back to the earsplitting noise pollution of the past.

We now offer:

• Barrel length cutting to better accommodate the added length of a supressor.
• Muzzle threading of various sizes and thread pitches.
• Re-crowning
• All muzzle threading work includes a thread protector.

I apologize for the lack of posting in the recent year, y’all have kept me very busy and for that I am grateful.

I came to say we are still here and we are still working on 🔥💪s. As we enter the hot summer months, hunting and shooting sports may not be at the top of the priority list for most of you and your “tools” may be put on the back burner until hunting season comes around.

Hornady is recalling sixteen (16) lots of item #81199, 350 Legend 150 gr. SP Hornady BLACK® ammunition. These lots were shipped between the dates of November 2, 2023, and August 19, 2024.

Hornady ballisticians have determined that cartridges from lot #’s: 3234613, 3241530, 3241634, 3241678, 3241990, 3241991, 3242096, 3242414, 3242590, 3242597, 3242695, 3242868, 3242894, 3243421, 3243705, 3243974 may exhibit high pressure. Use of this product may result in firearm damage and/or personal injury.

DO NOT USE HORNADY 350 LEGEND 150 GR. SP HORNADY BLACK AMMUNITION.

The item number and lot number can be found printed on the box label.

This notice only applies to item: #81199, LOT #’s: 3234613, 3241530, 3241634, 3241678, 3241990, 3241991, 3242096, 3242414, 3242590, 3242597, 3242695, 3242868, 3242894, 3243421, 3243705, 3243974.

If you own any of the lot numbers listed above or have any questions regarding this recall, please call 800-338-3220. Hornady Manufacturing Company will make all arrangements associated with this return and replacement of the product.

Wellmann ****arms will be closed for the next 7 weeks, until September.

Our ***smith, Wyatt Wellmann, is having neck surgery this week. We don't take closing our doors lightly, but his health and getting him back to 100% is our top priority.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we are away. You are welcome to call and leave us a message, but please be aware that you will not receive a response for several weeks. We will get back to you as soon as we are able.

Please keep Wyatt in your prayers this week for a safe surgery and a successful recovery in the weeks ahead.

Kuecker boy has been knocking down the doves with his freshly polished and blued 1976 Re*****on 870 Wingmaster. Ron’s dad got him this shotgun when he was a young teen and he has hunted with it for over 40 years. It was an honor to refinish this timeless classic and a privilege to watch him take birds with it on opening day. An old rig made new again and as reliable as she ever was.
