Our hands-on sourdough workshop at the Homesteading Conference is intentionally small — only 12 people can participate.

You’ll learn the process in person, work with the dough yourself, ask questions as you go, and leave knowing what to do when you get back into your own kitchen.

Today was a special day at Willow Haven Farm General Store the farm kids got to come to work with Dad. 🌿

And when asked what his favorite thing about coming to the General Store was, Pippin had the perfect answer:

Farmer Reuben is getting ready for this year’s Homesteading Conference — but what he’s teaching didn’t come out of a textbook.

It came from years of making real decisions on a working farm.

His morning workshop is about learning to think like a farmer BEFORE you have the perfect property, the perfect setup, or all the resources you think you need.

Why this system? What worked? What failed? What do you do when land, money, labor and time are limited? And how can those same principles help a family who is starting much smaller?

Then in the afternoon, he’ll take you out onto the farm to see the animals, pasture and systems in real life.

That’s the kind of learning we want this day to be: practical skills you can take home and use to become more self-reliant now.
