Long time client John Volpe got out fishing with us before the snow arrived. It can be 55 and sunny one day, and then there can be 12” of snow outside the next. Our fishing season doesn’t stop when the snow comes though!

The weather this August has been all over the place; some days have been sunny and pleasant. Other days have brought clouds, wind, and torrential downpours.

Guide with another happy client and another personal best brown trout! This was a special morning for his client Brant. He expressed interest in fishing with a rod that he bought as a gift for his best friend, but he passed away before he could give it to him. So rigged up the rod, and almost immediately Brant was blessed with this 23” beauty of a brown! Let’s just say there may have been a few tears shed.

The fishing is hottttt right now! The first weeks few of July have been off to a great start for us here in trout country! This big brown couldn’t resist coming up for a hopper the other day for Steph and guide !!

The rivers are clear, but water temps have been rising and getting up to 66-67 degrees in the afternoons. So please be mindful of that, and carry a thermometer to check temps periodically throughout the day.
