Beware of scams on Facebook marketplace!! It is being swamped with scam adds. Almost got me yesterday. They place low prices, almost unbelievably low, to entice you. When contacted, they try to convince you they have several people that are wanting the item and want you to PayPal or Venmo the $$. I did send a small portion for them to hold it and when my son went to the address for pick up, the home owner told him he was the second person to say his address had been given for a marketplace purchase pickup. Lesson learned. Contacted my cc and had the charge canceled. It was a royal pain in the boohiney to get that done.
Be sure to check pics, some will actually have oceans or mountains in outdoor pics. Obviously not Mississippi landscape. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn’t.
Go to their profile. If they just joined fb and list no info in the profile. Don’t fall for it.
If it seems fake, it’s probably a scam.
Click the three dots on the add in the upper right corner and report it and click the button to report a scam.
Gotta fight back with these scammer jerks.

Come by and visit us at Martin’s General Store. Located in the John’s community of rural Rankin county.
Cute little country store and Mrs Sandy serves breakfast and lunch in her cafe Monday-Saturday. Come by for a hot plate lunch week days and short order menu on Saturday.
We plan to restart our outdoor market once a month in March or April, 2024. Please let me know if you’d be interested in having a booth. Outdoor spaces approximately 10x10 or tailgate tent size. Fun small time outdoor market. Booth fee, $25 for the day. Dates to be announced soon.
