Just finished an early Christmas present for my wife. Made from left over fence material and a pallet. He turned out pretty cool. He functions too.

My sister just posted this. I gave it to her on Thanksgiving and she just hung it up. Turned out great.

I painted a square out of chalk paint, framed it out and added shelves. Longest part of the project was waiting for paint to dry. Total actual work was about 4 hours.
Easy project.

TIP-
Dont use regular chalk. The pen chalk writes cleaner and erases easier. Regular chalk is a little rough for the chlk paint. It works but sticks. Also, definitely buy a satin chalk paint. The flat will come off as you wipe the chalk off, especially if the rag is wet.
