You may have seen these on Pinterest or other Social Media…the pictures are great but we have actual samples made by Deb, an actual person! The patterns are included in the kits, complete with all the fabrics she used and photocopy of the pattern printed on paper suitable for paper piecing, truly the whole package ready to go. They are also conveniently packaged in a cute, reusable project bag. Deb also brought back some fabulous Kantha stitched blocks from Market…check online to research info about this amazing textile art form. Our Craftsman sample contains colors and images of Lake Country. A limited number of kits are available. Stop in to visit and see all of these and more!

Whether or not the weather cooperates, summer in lake country is approaching. Perhaps a new patriotic project to celebrate America’s 250th birthday will make your heart sing, or maybe a new baby will be joining your family and a snuggly welcome quilt is in order. If you’re considering treating yourself to a new/upgraded machine, we have several “deals” from Bernina; Mother’s Day or graduations may be the incentive for new creative equipment. You will be warmly welcomed into our entry by a cloud of pink, red and white Valentine’s inspiration. We have a limited number of kits available for these samples. You’ll notice a lot of “movement” within the shop…we’re anticipating a lot of new fabric and have a huge supply of clearanced goods, 1 yard and 3 yard cuts. As the holidays approach and weather chills, we offer a warm and inspirational place for you to visit. We have several new samples with limited numbers of kits available, along with a lot of new fabrics for you to view and touch. Looking ahead, we will be closed Christmas Day & New Year’s Day with shortened hours on the “Eves”…call the shop to verify. Merry Christmas to all!

Mickey Smith was a quilter and friend who recently passed away. Her family is doing their best to find homes for a lifetime of accumulation. Country Fabrics has a classroom full of all things sewing/quilting related. We are inviting our customers to check out the “stash”, help themselves to what they would use, and in turn make a donation to Quilts of Honor, as requested by the family. Yes, it’s been a while, but we have several exciting new samples showcasing some of our recent fabric acquisitions. Woodshire is a new to us pattern, and we’ve made two samples, one featuring Christmas prints and the other Kaffe Fasset…both are fabulous! The classic Yellow Brick Road is worked up in our scrumptious Sherbet Sunshine flannel which feels like velveteen. Our back entry welcomes you with a collection of holiday samples including runners Mini Brick Road, A Gift for You, and Gift Wrapped. We also have a rich traditional collection featured in Crimson Glory, a lovely lap quilt backed with Luxe Cuddle in a deep dark green. Walk just a few more steps and meet Chili, our brown batik reindeer. Limited numbers of kits are available for all these samples.

The wait is over…the new Tilda Wallflower has arrived. We ordered all the pre-cuts including fat quarter bundles, and they are fabulous. Deb is making a scrappy sample featuring all of them, and we can’t wait to show it off! Come in for a taste of Tilda and see them in person.

It’s been a while, but we think these new samples are worth the wait…first, there’s a whole new litter of gender-neutral puppies on dark blue background. If your thoughts have been taking you to the lake, we have a fabulous new sample featuring “On Lake Time” fabrics from Moda. A limited number of kits are available for each. Then there are machines, and if you’ve had a glimmer of interest, coupled with the uncertainty of upcoming prices and availability, you may want to consider our choices.
