Still some good walleye fishing available in the Brainerd area but this is the time for some deep water crappie action. Lots of 12” fish but also some 13’s and 14’s. Weather has been cool but fortunately we’ve had sun and moderate winds.

Hi all,
This is Glen with the Nisswa Guides League out of Brainerd, Mn. hoping you’re all having a great fall. We are beginning October with some spectacular weather in the mid 70’s and it appears that it’s here to stay for some time. Our fishing is solid right now with many big walleyes and bass being caught by our clients. One of my favorite fish is the crappie and we are getting real close to prime crappie action for deep crappies. Hello everyone, this is Glen with the Nisswa Guides’s League. September and October are the two best months for walleyes, bass, pike and crappies. Walleyes are moving to deep as will crappies in a couple more weeks. Pike and bass are finding the greenest, healthiest w**d lines and the hot weather is behind us. We are in the busiest time of our guide season right now. Tourism is at its peak and people are choosing to spend time fishing with family and friends. Most clients want action as opposed to walleyes and we will deliver on that request. However, we do spend many trips for walleyes right now even though limits are difficult to get during daytime fishing. But if customers can bring home 4 or 5 walleyes for a meal it’s well worth the effort.
Come out and enjoy our service. Morning trips go out daily at 7 am and afternoon trips begin around 1:30. You will not be disappointed.

Hey everyone, this is Glen Belgum with the Nisswa Guides’s League. The fish are biting with bass, pike and crappies the choice for most anglers that just want an action filled day of catching.
Of course, many people still want walleyes and we certainly have been taking many trips for them. They have been a bit more unpredictable but most times we come back with enough for people to get a taste of fresh Minnesota walleye.

Hi everyone , Glen Belgum with the Nisswa Guides League. Open water is here and that means the fishing season is upon us. I’ve been out a few times with water temps in the mid 40’s and rising.
