It doesn't appear the Coquina market will be returning, certainly not with the founding manager, and the county's plans for a new market appear to have fizzled out. We're still looking at possible opportunities, and you may well see us at the various markets that pop up for the holidays.

We're also working on plans to sell our own creations. In particular, all-natural aftershaves, as well as body scrubs with salt or sugar. Hopefully we'll have these available for order online, and possibly in some shops around the Bradenton/Sarasota area. At least that's the plan, wish us luck!

Bring back the Beach Market at Coquina Beach under the management of Nancy Ambrose

We are sad to say that currently we have no plans to rejoin the market at Coquina Beach when it restarts. We had been looking forward to November, being back at the market for our ninth season and restocked with the products our repeat customers come looking for, as well as some new additions. That changed with the Manatee County Administrator’s unilateral decision to take the market away from its creator and driving force, Nancy Ambrose, and place its operation in the hands of county employees. The decision was completely unwarranted, with a rationale based on obvious falsehoods. As the decision was also made with no planning, we have no information from the county on when the market will start again, what types of vendors will be allowed, how many vendors will be allowed, or what the cost of participation will be.

However, we are optimistic. Nancy is exploring options for creating a new market, and we and many other vendors would certainly be interested in joining. We’re also looking into the various festivals that occur in our area, as well as options for expanding our presence online.

We're almost ready for the next season at the Beach Market at Coquina Beach! It's been one really rough time since the end of March & beginning of November, & we're ready to get back to the weekly fun. The market starts back up again next Sunday, November 7, from 10am-4pm. Come one, come all; we can't wait to see you again!

Sunday should be sunny and warm and we plan to be at the Beach Market at Coquina Beach. We have some brand new colorful patterns of sarongs and scarves that we’ll be debuting this weekend. Come out and visit us and all the other wonderful vendors this Sunday from 10 to 4. Look for our blue and white canopy on the beach side, south of the cafe. See you Sunday!
