Happy Juneteenth from The Crystal Garden! ♥️🖤💚
Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved people in Texas were informed of their freedom—more than two years after slavery had legally ended in the United States.
It is a time to remember the injustices of the past, honor Black history and culture, and reflect on how we continue to move forward with truth, understanding, and care. It invites us to acknowledge what has been endured, to hold space for healing, and to consider how we can contribute to a more just and compassionate future.
We recognize how far we have come, while also recognizing there is still work to be done. Today we honor freedom, celebrate Black lives and contributions, and continue learning how to do better—together.
💚 How can I support Juneteenth? Here are a few meaningful ways:
• Support and shop from Black-owned businesses
• Uplift Black artists, creators, and makers

• Read books by Black authors and explore Black-led educational resources
• Donate to organizations working toward racial justice and equity
• Amplify Black voices, stories, and perspectives
• Reflect, listen, and engage in thoughtful conversations
• Support community spaces and initiatives led by Black leaders
