As I pulled into Hawes early Saturday morning, on a cool April day, It was sprinkling lightly. Right before I hit the trail the rain picked up and then cleared leaving this incredible view of Hawes. So into the rainbow I went as the smell of creosote from the freshly watered desert filled the air. What an incredible way start to a great ride. I rode up Alpe d'Huez, over to RMR and down. Then over for a romp down Big Sister and back to the truck. It was such a beautiful day and I was having so much fun I decided to do it again. Needless to say I was exhausted by the time I got back to the truck the second time.

What a great day of racing at Bootleg Canyon. I took 2nd place in the Reaper Madness Super D emtb full open with a time of 13:42 and placed 2nd overall in the 2026 Southwest Regional Gravity Champs Series.
