We’re so excited to share a new opportunity for our homeschool community! We’re partnering with Evergreen Karate to bring homeschool-day Jiu Jitsu classes to our families. This is a great opportunity for kids to build confidence, learn new skills, stay active, and connect with other homeschoolers!

🍋 Homeschooling can be a beautiful thing, but it can also feel lonely sometimes.

Sometimes you just want your kids to have friends, try something new, or find their people. Sometimes you need a little support yourself, or just a place where everyone gets it.

That’s why we started The Lemon Tree Community in conjunction with our bookstore. 💛

We want to create a place where homeschool families can come together, where kids can learn and explore new interests, and where parents can find connection and encouragement. All the good parts of a co-op, with a little more flexibility for real life.

We have so many ideas for what this community can become, and we want to make those opportunities available to as many families as possible. But we can't do it alone!

Your donations help us offer affordable classes, get the resources we need to have meaningful educational opportunities using rich materials, and create more opportunities for homeschool families to connect and learn together - through mini courses, supportive events, book clubs, chess clubs and more!

From one homeschooling mom to another...

Growth in homeschooling can feel slow and unseen.

You might wonder if it’s working… if they’re really learning… if you’re doing enough.

But progress is happening, even when you can’t clearly see it. Even if you can' measure it with lessons completed or books read.

Trust the process. Trust the time you’re investing. Watch for the Ah HA moments and remember that they will come on their own time!

And if you ever need reassurance, guidance, or help making sure you’re on track, we’re here to support and encourage you 🤍

💛 This is what Mom crew is all about. Last night, three moms came together, made connections, planned a play date, and exchanged phone numbers. Sometimes motherhood can feel lonely, and finding your people makes all the difference! We want Mom crew to be more than just a place to show up once a month. We want it to be a place where friendships begin, play dates get planned, and Mom’s find their people.💛🍋

From one homeschooling mom to another...

When kids are interested, learning sticks! Have you seen it happen? I mean, how else can a kid learn so many Pokemon names?! 😅

Those moments when they’re curious, excited, and engaged? That’s where deep learning happens.

It’s okay to follow those interests, even if it doesn’t look like traditional school. I can't tell you how many times I've pulled out a Paw Patrol figure for reading games, Pokemon cards for math, re-written math story problems to be sports themed, or used their favorite song tunes to help them learn a spelling rule! (can you tell I'm a boy mom!?)

If you’re looking for some creative ideas to incorporate their loves into their learning or to nurture your child’s interests through classes or the right materials, we’d love to help you find a great fit 🤍

Come hang out with other homeschooling women for a relaxing night of connection and conversation and enjoy some dessert and tea or coffee.

It’s rare for moms to get some time away, we know that! So we hope to create a low effort opportunity for you to show up and connect with like minded women around something we share in common- home education! Its a breath of fresh air to not answer the same shallow questions from people who don’t understand our daily lives, so in this space we can hopefully go a bit deeper.

We don’t have a sales pitch or an ulterior motive, and there isn’t a presentation or anything for you to do. We will provide dessert and drinks and our lovely space for you to sit and enjoy. Please bring a friend. Maybe you can even go out to dinner before you join us at 7! Stay as long as you like, and come late if you need. This is a casual evening.

We hope you will learn about a new resource, a new co-op, share your favorite curriculum with someone who needs it, and offer your encouragement to the mom who may be struggling. Being together helps us all feel less alone.
