Ten summers ago we had new little gift shop with a budding children’s section. On a sunny afternoon in Mid-July, we received a call from the founder of a new swimwear brand minnow asking about a last minute pop-up. The owner, Morgan, was visiting friends in Boston during a road trip from Charleston to Maine. She’d have her mom and two small children in tow. Her suitcases were full of swim samples and her arms were full of babies and big plans. We got it. And we loved it.

This week at PLAYTIME we had a chance to catch up on ten shared years in retail and motherhood: two things we’ve braided together pretty tightly over the past decade.

We buy for your children the way we buy for ours: thoughtfully, from founders and sales directors and design teams we trust.
